CBR Technician/RAV Support:

Duties: Assist the government in performing a comprehensive material readiness evaluating onboard ship within 90 days of unit or ship deployment in accordance with RAV policy to include CBR detection, PCR, Collective Protection, CBRND Personnel Protection Equipment, Decontamination and BIO consumables. Travel may be required CONUS and out CONUS. Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance and possess an active passport.

Experience: Experience with CBR Support Systems onboard NAVY ships is required. The ability to work well alone and as part of a team, leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and oral presentation skills are required.


Marine Electrician: Must possess basic electronic shipboard installation experience and have a background in electrical / electronic wiring. NAVSEA approved copper connector certification card required as objective quality evidence of training. Knowledge of common as well as specialty hand tools, and the use of general purpose test equipment is expected. Tasks are accomplished as assigned by the Installation Supervisor in accordance with NAVSEA standards as well as company work instructions.

Marine Electrician:

Requirements: Marine Electrician is to possess a basic understanding of the installation process, the use of common / specialty hand tools, and the use of general purpose test equipment. Tasks are accomplished as assigned by the Installation Supervisor and in accordance with company work instructions. Additional duties and / or responsibilities of other positions may also be assigned for which qualifications are met to include Installation Supervisor on routine or low risk installations.

Specific description of duties:

  • Responsible for the physical opening as well as closing cableways, cable trunks, and multi cable transits; transporting material / tools to and from the worksite; standing fire watch; painting; lagging; and assisting in weld preparation / fit up.
  • Also must have basic knowledge of systems removal and installation to include but not limited to:
    • HVAC ducting, piping etc
    • Cabling (copper and fiber)
    • Equipment racks
    • Lockers / Furniture
    • Fiddle boards
    • Connection boxes
    • Power panels
    • Lighting
    • Antennas / Radomes
    • Foundations
    • Waveguide
    • Decking
    • Multi pin / Fiber Optic / RF and other type connectors
    • Cable tags / Wire markers
    • Provide installation assistance during SOVT
  • Overtime is routinely required but not guaranteed
  • Travel outside the local area may be required
  • Possession of a State Drivers License is required
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization's mission, objectives and goals.
Education / Specialized training:
  • Associates degree or trade school certificate (in related field), or four years related experience.
Security Clearance:
  • Clearance up to secret level may be required.

Laborer / Helper:

Summary of duties: Performs general manual labor tasks including running errands, sweeping, loading, lifting, and moving equipment / material. Works under direct supervision following clear and detailed instructions. May be assigned the duties and responsibilities of other positions for which qualifications are met.

Specific description of duties:

  • To include but are not limited to assisting in storage and staging of various tools / materials; transportation of tools / material to the worksite; loading and unloading vehicles; general clean up / daily housekeeping; standing fire watch; pulling cable; and heavy lifting of tools / material / equipment.
  • Overtime is routinely required but not guaranteed
  • Travel outside the local area may be required
  • Possession of a State Drivers License is required
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization's mission, objectives and goals.
Education / Specialized training:
  • Must have a basic understanding of standard power tools and possess the ability to read / follow simple instructions.
Security Clearance:
  • Clearance up to secret level may be required.


Senior User Interface Engineer:

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience designing and implementing user interfaces in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, object Oriented JavaScript, jQuery etc.
  • Experience working with the latest HTML5 features (especially local storage).
  • Have an eye for detail and appreciate silky smooth UI experiences
  • Excel at architecting and deploying large scale JavaScript web applications
  • Experience with engineering MVC Design patterns, JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone.JS ( or any other .JS )
  • Proficiency with DOM Manipulation, Event Handling, Event Bubbling, Integration with Restful, WebServices
  • Must have experience with Source Version Controls (SVN, GIT etc.)
  • Strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices.
  • Operate, drive results and set priorities independently. Limited supervision and directions are provided.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration skills and debugging skills
Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Preferred Qualifications ( Not MUST but plus)
  • Experience with Sencha ExtJS and/or Sencha Touch
  • Experience with application servers (e.g. Resin, Tomcat)
  • Databases (postgres, JDBC)


Coated Silica Subject Matter Expert: DON has a need for a senior level Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide expertise in coatings and coating methods for ultrafine silica powders. The SME will review scientific literature for the impact of surface modification on coated silica properties. The SME will advise project team members of optimal materials and methods to tailor the preparation of coated silica powders according to desired properties. The candidate should possess a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the subject area including, but not limited to: particle size, surface area, moisture content, and surface chemistry, and the net affect on the macroscopic properties of the powdered silica and its modification to the target material as a surface coating or additive.
Minimum requirements:
1. US citizen
2. PhD in Materials Science, or equivalent area specialization
3. 35+ years experience in

  • Design and manufacture of organosilicon coatings and silica surface modification methods.
  • Chemical and material properties of fine and ultrafine silica powders.
4. Scientific publication record for research articles pertaining to silica powders, their surface modification and/or the resultant consequence to the target material when used as protective coating or additive
5. Occasional travel to Washington, DC
