KITCO Fiber Optics was
established in 1997 as a small business specializing in the design and
fabrication of fiber optic tools, tool kits, measurement quality reference
cables and Field Service support.
We are a leading provider of fiber optic connectorization products and
services to the military and commercial communications industry and for the
past 16 years have customized our products and services to meet strict
military standards. We work with, and support major defense contractors and
government agencies such as BAE Systems, Chugach, Raytheon, General Dynamics,
Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, NASA, the Department of Defense
and Department of the Navy. We
are an ISO 9001:2008 registered company, certificate number 133000021 and are
authorized to perform fiber optic repair and installation on navy ships by
NSWC, Dahlgren Division, designated the Fiber Optic Cable Plant (FOCP)
In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). KITCO Training divisionŐs vast experience in providing fiber optic training to naval installations and personnel, and to government contractors is unparalleled. We have provided fiber optic installation, termination, splicing, and testing courses for both military and commercial entities to thousands of students. Our 5 day Military Shipboard course (6000-1100-01) is NAVSEA approved and is in strict adherence to Mil-Std-2042B. Through an exclusive BPA contract, we provide Fiber Optic Maintenance Technician training to fleet sailors and ensure that fleet personnel are trained to repair, install and test shipboard fiber optic systems and components. Utilizing this experience we provide the only commercially available shipboard training course which teaches fiber principles in strict adherence to Navy standards, and we are working closely with the Army and Marine Corps to develop battlefield maintenance and aircraft fiber optic support training. |
